The New Prime Minister

Boris Johnson, ex-mayor of London, has been selected the leader of the Conservative Party and Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland by the Conservative party members.

He formed his cabinet and gave his first prime ministerial speech at the dispatch box. He said the UK would start its golden age under his leadership.

The UK will be out of the UK by 31st of October 2019 under the current circumstances. Boris Johson insists that the UK will exit from the UK with ‘no ifs and buts’ by October the 31st. ‘In order to get the best deal, we must prepare for no-deal’ Johnson said.

Businesses worry about their trade in the event of no-deal which is more likely than ever. As Turkey is a member of the Customs Union, Turkish businesses are also worried about their trading.

Johnson also claims that the UK may be freely trading with the UK because of the existence of the standstill clause in the GATT Agreement.

TEN Legal Counsels are expertise in WTO and GATT terms as their academic background all related to those terms, also they are experienced with the importing processes from Turkey to the UK.

Businesses must prepare for the worst scenario and receive the best legal advice from TEN’s legal counsels.
